Top Posts From October + A Sneak Peek at What Is Coming Up!
Including our Slow Cooker Guide!
As we close out October and look forward to the last two months of the year, we wanted to share the top posts of this past month and some insight into what is to come. We also want to thank everyone who has signed up for our newsletter: whether you are a free subscriber or paid, your interest and being part of this community is so meaningful.
And for anyone who joined the Nourished Mama Collective, thank you! Much like a pregnant belly, it is growing quickly and we are thrilled with all the comments and conversation so far. Again, we want to thank you for being part of the Weil Nutrition Corner™ community!
From standout October posts to what’s on the Weil Nutrition Corner™ menu next - here’s your monthly roundup.
Our Favorite One-Pot Meals
We are both fans of one-pot meals - they make both cooking and cleaning so much easier. See what our favorites are, and if you are a proponent of one-pot meals, be sure to check your inbox tomorrow for our new Slow Cooker Guide! - Dr. Weil and Diana
Tuscan Bean Soup with Farro and Swiss Chard
This version of a classic main-dish soup from Tuscany makes use of canned white beans to save time. You can use Tuscan kale in place of chard if you wish. I like to serve this with extra grated Parmesan and red pepper flakes on the side as well as a cruet of very flavorful olive oil for your guests to drizzle over the soup. - Dr. Weil
Whole Soy Foods: Good For Women?
The fear surrounding soy is largely due to misunderstandings, misinformation, and animal studies. Whole soy foods, such as tofu, tempeh, edamame, soy nuts, and unsweetened soy milk, are among the most nutritionally valuable plant foods you can include in your diet. Learn more about our takes, and about healthy soy foods women should add to their diets. - Dr. Weil and Diana
What’s Healthier: Breastmilk or Formula?
Breast milk really is remarkable, and the more I learn about it, the more it blows my mind. However, there will be no shaming for the way a mama feeds her baby in the Nourished Mama Collective. Whether you exclusively breastfeed, use formula, or combo feed, you’re doing an incredible job. Read on for my takes on breastmilk, and join the conversation around feeding your baby! - Diana
