Let's get creative this summer
Every Friday, we share a quick roundup of products we actually use and love - whether in the kitchen, at the table, or while shopping. These are the tools and staples that make cooking, serving, and clean-up easier and more enjoyable. For our paid subscribers, we’re excited to bring you a fresh new recipe every week. This Friday’s feature: Blue Cheese Caramelized Onion Pizza!
Happy Friday! We hope you enjoyed the content this week, including the brain-healthy lunch ideas, our opinions on MSG, and Diana’s “Chaos Garden” tour!
Today are our picks - including a homemade pickle kit that we will be using in an upcoming video - plus a new recipe: Blue Cheese Caramelized Onion Pizza!
Perfect Pickler. We both own and use this, and highly recommend it for anyone interested in pickling veggies at home. We will be sending a “How To Make Homemade Pickles” video soon, so if you want to get in on the action, get one of these kits! - Dr. Weil and Diana
Rishi Teas. If I am not drinking matcha, Rishi teas are a go-to. Their teas are organic, unique and delicious. I highly recommend this brand. - Dr. Weil
Breville Smart Oven Pizza Stone. While we have mentioned that we both have and use the Ooni pizza oven, a pizza stone is a great alternative when it comes to price. It distributes the heat evenly for texture similar to a true pizza oven. - Diana

Blue Cheese Caramelized Onion Pizza
Harley and I first had a variation of this pizza when we were in a very small town in Patagonia (not where you’d expect to find good pizza), but it was absolutely delicious. Since then, it’s become a regular recipe in our home.
We use an Ooni pizza oven, but if you don’t have one, don’t worry. You can use a pizza stone or just a regular baking sheet. Homemade pizza dough is often better, but you can find some good options in grocery stores these days.
While it may sound a little crazy, we like to add a few sliced grapes after baking the pizza. My dad thinks we’re nuts and does not think grapes belong on pizza, but give it a try and let us know where you stand!
