How to Make Homemade Dog Treats
Easy Recipe: 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Banana Treats
This simple and safe dog treat recipe will make you popular with your pups!
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups old-fashioned rolled oats (can be ground into a fine flour in a blender/food processor)
1 large ripe banana, mashed
½ cup all-natural peanut butter (no xylitol)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the mashed banana and peanut butter in a bowl.
Add the oat flour (or whole oats) and mix until a stiff dough forms. If too dry, add a splash of water; if too sticky, add a little more oat flour.
Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
Cut out shapes using a cookie cutter (bone shapes, fire hydrants or hearts are a fun option!) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned and firm.
Cool completely on a wire rack before packaging.

Never use xylitol (a common artificial sweetener found in some peanut butters and other products), chocolate, grapes, raisins, or macadamia nuts, as these are toxic to dogs. And opt for natural, unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter with the only ingredient being “peanuts.”
